SONGS AND STORIES OF Historic Pacific Canada.
STIRRING UP GHOSTS
The Stirring Up Ghosts initiative has been a part of the Tiller’s Folly musical agenda since the band’s inception. Honoring a bardic tradition that precedes written language; sharing our history through stories and preserving our heritage through song. At hundreds of festivals and performing arts centres and to hundreds of school shows, Tiller’s Folly have reached out to British Columbians throughout their own twenty-year history.
In our live school presentation From Sails to Rails, Tiller’s Folly combine live music and multimedia to take students on a journey through history, aboard a variety of conveyances. From the sailing ships that first brought European explorers to our coast, to the pride that was once our BC Electric Railway, this program covers how each mode of transportation effected change in the growth of Pacific Canada. A Stirring Up Ghosts online study guide is featured on the band’s website at www.tillersfolly.com.

VOICES FOR THE SALISH SEA
Drawn together by their deep, abiding love for our amazing Pacific coastal heritage, Eco-Folk Rockers the Wilds (Rock the Salish Sea) and Pacific Canadian muso-historians Tiller’s Folly (Stirring Up Ghosts) join forces in a celebration of songs and stories about the Salish Sea, it’s beauty, history, ecology and culture.
Our six-piece Roots Music supergroup weave a rich, dynamic tapestry, up close and personal, sharing a deep connection with the Salish Sea in a repertoire that reflects decades of artistic consideration and expression.
Combining live musical performance, multimedia media and more, our goal is to entertain, engage, educate and promote a sense of pride, awareness, advocacy and stewardship for the unique ecosystem that is our Salish Sea.
Tandem cultural, and educational community outreach initiatives available.
